The thing is I remember staring at that code and wondering if I needed to add divide by zero protection but I convinced myself all groups would have a minimum height of 1. But it was calculating maxY and minY as the same number and subtracting and resulted in zero.
Have you posted your layout? I don't recall anyone asking for this to change. It originally was thin and people complained it wasn't big enough. Can't tell from that screenshot cause its clipped so I have no frame of reference to know how much you've zoomed in or cropped.
I wrote all the code to run the Pixies and there was only 16 ports at the time. The LOR Enhanced protocol is proprietary so I had to use packet sniffing to reverse engineer it the best I could. The protocol is not very efficient unless you are pumping a lot of the same color to the pixels. I...
Yeah I think we are finding out nobody does their own sequencing anymore because this crash only affected importing. Scott fixed it like a couple hours after release. It was apparently a new sorting option for the import dialog. It was tested on Mac and works fine but crashed on Windows...
Yes I added that capability 7 years ago. You need a board that interfaces to the servos and xLights talks to the board. There are many options out there. In xLights you use the Servo Model along with the Servo Effect.

Yeah on my moving head branch I've removed the Y offset when pasting. Most of the time the new model needs to be at the same height so the Y offset always annoyed me. It also helps to learn to use the Align and Distribution right-click options. So I paste a bunch of models and then can...
I got my branch pushed to GitHub so if I get hit by a bus my couple hundred hours of work won't be lost. I swear this Moving Head work was as much time as it took me to get the initial 3D stuff working.
I did a big write-up to try to let everyone know of the work left to be done, things that...
I get nervous about anything inside the house. One year I ran a string of pixels around the Christmas tree and then everyone started having these pixels issues and I quit doing it.
Our yards here are covered with rocks, the house is covered in stucco, and the roof is covered in spanish tiles. I don't worry at all about the controllers that are sitting out in the rocks....lol.
