The firmware claims to output close to 3X the pixels at 40fps than WLED. (The YPS one claims 500 per pin, but not with every pin running at the same time). Also - the dual power inputs helps to do the full 7.5A /port.

So there's a couple of sessions that I know will talk about them somewhat. But I was thinking we could add a breakout discussion on them?

It sounds right to me. I assume you’ve checked the things like (are both PSU’s he same voltage). Is the new testing string working? Or still failing?

What do the pixels do after the T? and just in-case — what is your second controller? Does it have Efuses?

I think Alan is suggesting that if you add the pixels like this (I'm sure there are other paths) then you shouldn't need any special joins. Cool mouth though. I might borrow it for a layout I'm looking to do later this year.

in my idea before the button esp wouldn’t be running WLED -- you'd run tasmota or something like that on it. And then use *that* to invoke REST API's on the WLED/ESPixelStick/FPP.

use 2 esps? One with buttons hooked to called WLED apis via http? And the the esp with an DF card ready to play fseq.

There are systems that will hook up to your existing lights. It’s only going to be on/off for the whole string — but can still look super effective. I know @Skymaster in Sydney does a bunch of Bunnings/etc led strings integrated into his display.
